Equimins Hoof Disinfectant

This product is produced from a variety of safe bactericidal and fungicidal essential oils, Alpha Pinene, Beta Pinene, Citronell, Geraniol and Cineole, together with a biocide specifically developed for the complete microbiological protection of water based products against bacterial and fungal spoilage in the wet state.

It is active against the following bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas putida, Proteus vulgaris, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus.

It is also active against the following Fungi: Aspergillus niger, Penicillium mineoluiteum, Fusarium solani and Geotrichum candidum

There are other disinfectants that will kill the same things, but are not safe products to use on animals or humans, as they mostly contain aldehydes or glutaraldhydes. These two ingredients are classified as poisonous and therefore not suitable for use with animals.

This product is very safe to use and does not contain any of the harmful ingredients that can be found in some other disinfectants. It is also safe to use on small abrasions of the skin to clean the wound.

To moisturise the hoof use Equimins Hoof Moisturising Cream or Equimins Hoof Moisturising Lotion.
